Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE) is a system consists of a sequence of heat exchangers – VLSs (vapor-liquid separators) used widely for many applications in industries to achieve evaporation and obtain desired concentration as output by using an efficient amount of heat source such as steam or hot water to evaporate water. Evaporation is normally stopped before the solute starts to precipitate in the operation of an evaporator. Most of the industrial evaporators have tubular heating surfaces. The tubes may be horizontal or vertical, long or short and the liquid may be inside or outside the tubes.

Agitated Thin Film Evaporators are used for separating mixtures of liquids with differing boiling points. The principle of working involves amplification of concentration and transmitting heat in short swift bursts to reduce surface area and prolonged requirement of heat. The ATFE comprises of a jacketed shell with a surface area of up to 50 square meters. The standard operating pressure of our ATFE units is from atmospheric pressure down to 1 Ton of vacuum. Furthermore, the operating temperature is up to 320  ATFEs are made with the most premium raw materials. A rotor with various blade configs can be incorporated based on the usage parameters.

rising film or vertical long tube evaporator is a type of evaporator that is essentially a vertical shell and tube heat exchanger. The liquid being evaporated is fed from the bottom into long tubes and heated with steam condensing on the outside of the tube from the shell side. This is to produce steam and vapour within the tube bringing the liquid inside to a boil. The vapour produced then presses the liquid against the walls of the tubes and causes the ascending force of this liquid. As more vapour is formed, the centre of the tube will have a higher velocity which forces the remaining liquid against the tube wall forming a thin film which moves upwards. This phenomenon of the rising film gives the evaporator its name.

In Falling Film Evaporator, the high velocity feed enters from the top of the evaporator and falls down the tube wall. As the temperature is uneven within the tubes (due to steam), the boiling of feed occurs when it has travelled half way into the tubes. As the feed moves further downwards, its temperature decreases due to evaporation and it forms vapours. These vapours form small bubbles which aggregate to form large bubbles and travel downwards. This mixture of liquid and vapour gets separated at the bottom. The separated liquid gets concentrated during falling and is collected as product from the bottom.
